Founder Mike Pedersen has over 27 years in the Pro AV industry.  Mike was the AVIXA 2018 CTS Holder of the Year and was a 2025 inductee to the Higher Ed AV Hall of Fame.  Mike joined Iowa State University in 2018 as the Audiovisual Experience Manager.  The Audiovisual Experience Team (AVXT) is responsible for AV consulting, installation, and repairs across the university.  Mike previously worked for AV integrator Mechdyne Corporation for almost 19 years serving several roles including engineering manager, R&D, and pre-sales engineering. With AVIXA, he currently serves on the Membership Commitee and Certification Renewal Committee; he previously served as Chair of the Technology Manager’s Council for AVIXA as well as a member of the Certification Steering Committee.  He serves on the Board of Directors for the Educational Technology Collaborative (ETC) and is also active with the Higher Education Technology Managers Alliance (HETMA).  He has previously served as an appointee to the governor’s North Central Iowa Regional STEM Advisory Board.
